Department: DPB – Plant Biology
Location: Stanford, CA
A research assistant position is available to work at Carnegie Mass Spectrometry facility, directed by Dr. Shouling Xu, at the Department of Plant Biology, Carnegie Institution for Science (located in Stanford, CA). The candidate will collaborate with multiple labs from Carnegie Institution, Stanford University, and some labs across the country on various MS-related projects. The candidate will also have his/her own project on methods development. The facility is currently equipped with Orbitrap Q-Exactive HF and has recently been funded by an NIH S10 instrument grant to get Orbitrap Eclipse with ETD in the fall. The facility is equipped with three HPLC/FPLC instruments for offline fractionations.
- Experience with Biology
- Experience working in a laboratory environment including bench work
- Computer skills, including proficiency with Python and R
