Job: Summer Internship at Carnegie Institution for Science

Department: BBR – Broad Branch Road

Location: Carnegie Science, DTM, 5241 Broad Branch Road, N.W., Washington, DC 20015

Students, are you interested in a career in science?  Would you like an opportunity to be mentored by and work alongside world-renown scientists?

The Department of Terrestrial Magnetism (DTM) and the Geophysical Laboratory (GL) are departments within the Carnegie Institution for Science at Broad Branch Road,  a non-profit scientific research organization located on a beautiful park-like campus.  Our science covers a broad area of research in the fields of Earth and space science, from astrophysics to mantle dynamics, from earthquakes to cosmochemistry, from astrobiology to material science.

We invite applications from high school seniors through university undergraduates to participate as interns during the summer.  Interns will be paid a stipend of $1000 per month up to a maximum of two months.  Internships correspond with the academic calendar, and cover the summer period from the end of May 2019 through July 2019.  The positions offer flexible work hours and duration, but with a target of a minimum of a 2 month internship.

If you are looking for a scientific project or challenge, then apply for a Carnegie Broad Branch Road volunteer internship  by submitting a cover letter specifying your interests, along with one letter of reference.  Deadline for applications is April 15, 2019.
