Postdoctoral Associates carry out research that explores the current frontiers of knowledge in basic biological science under the guidance of a Carnegie faculty member. A list of faculty, their areas of current research, and additional information is available at: emb.carnegiescience.edu.
They conceive, carry out and publish novel discoveries based on their research that contribute to human understanding of biological mechanisms and present these findings to the national and international scientific community.
PhD degree and record of distinguished research accomplishments in a relevant discipline as documented by first-author publications, presentation of research at scientific meetings and letters of recommendation from leading scientists.
The Department of Embryology is one of six departments comprising the Carnegie Institution for Science. The department functions as a private, non-profit research institute affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University and is located adjacent to the JHU Homewood campus in Baltimore, MD.
